Celebrating the Legacy of Pan: A Conversation with James Andrews
James Andrews’ journey started at a tender age. At just 13, after the loss of his mother, he moved to live with family in Trinidad—a place rich in both history and musical influence. It was during these formative years, in the vibrant setting of Dong Dong Polis, that his life took an unexpected turn. A Monday marked by historical anniversaries, such as the discovery of Trinidad and notable events like VCH Day, set the stage for a fateful encounter. Gathering with a group of young talents in a band called “Funland,” James’ natural ability shone through as he confidently played the piano even at his young age.
